Ryoko

I've had a soft spot in me for the Tenchi Muyo! series and its off-shoots for some time now.  With its hilarity, mostly at the expense of poor, poor Tenchi, it's one of my favorite series.  You can imagine my joy when I found out that McFarlane Toys was bringing out a Ryoko figurine, no really, you can imagine, it's okay.  You can't pose it much, at all actually, but it doesn't matter because it looks great on the shelf, by the computer, or just about anywhere else, except for maybe as a centerpiece at Thanksgiving.  Other than that, the sky's the limit.

Ryoko has no points of articulation, so don't expect any to be putting her into any dynamic, action-packed poses, or even dull, mundane, poses.  The way she is standing thought is nice, but the way her hand is extended it's almost a Captain Kirk-like stance.  Coming along for the ride is Ryo-Ohki, Ryoko's bunny-like companion and spaceship.  She doesn't have points of articulation either, but the cutesy detail is there.  Ryoko too has a good

deal of detail, especially in her hair and facial features, at least as far as capturing the anime vibe is concerned.  However, on my particular figurine it tends to lean a wee bit on its stand.  Whether it will continue further is anyone's guess at this point.

Nonetheless it's a very nice figure for sprucing up areas that are otherwise barren.  If you're a fan of the Tenchi Muyo! series, this is a figure to look for.
