Vash the Stampede

(McFarlane Toys)

For an action figure based on anime Vash certainly is lifelike! It’s scary really, there is so much detail in this figure that he could easily be mistaken for a resin statue. The flow in his coat, his stance, and the nifty stand all have a wonderfully non-reflective hue to them that make it hard to believe that the figure isn’t resin. That being the case, Vash is a great budget display piece. The awesome detail combined with the pose make this a great figure to put on a shelf and just stare at it with a smile. Sadly that’s about all you really can do with it since there are very few point of articulation, heck the legs don’t bend whatsoever. Just have him standing and pointing his gun and leave it at that because it isn’t getting much more complicated.

This figure is all about decoration, from the flowing coat, to the glasses, to his crucifix on a giant chain, there is a lot of eye-candy to this piece, which is what makes it so great.
