E3 Chronicles: The First 10 Years

by Mr. Nash

(May 13, 2005)

With yet another E3 just around the corner, there's plenty of excitement in the air as everyone waits to see what the console manufacturers have in store for us next generation.  On top of that, there are still plenty of games for current game systems, and the PC that people will want to look at.  However, today we're going to take a look back in time at the first 10 E3s.  We'll be revisiting the console announcements, the games, and a lot of the general feelings people had regarding what was being shown at the expo over the years.  This is by no means an attempt at a complete, encyclopedic recount of everything that happened at each and every E3, but we're hoping this feature of past shows provides a fun look at all that has come to pass over the last 10 years, bringing up more than a few moments of thinking, "Oh yeah, I remember when that game was announced!"  Anyway, below you'll find links to each of the first 10 E3s.  We hope you enjoy reading the article as much as we had writing it.  Bon appetite!
