So, we finally made a Twitter thingy.  You can follow it here.

If you own Half-life it’s a safe bet that you’ve played or at least heard about Counter-Strike. It’s been available for free on the Internet and now, with the release of v1.0, it can be found on retail shelves. Counter-Strike is the brainchild of Gooseman (a.k.a. Minh Le) and is a wildly popular multiplayer game with fans around the globe. We got a chance to pose some questions to Gooseman recently and we should all be thankful that he could spare us a few minutes in his busy schedule. So without further ado . . .

Gooseman (Counter-Strike) Interview

December 8, 2000

I’m betting that you spent many nights burning the midnight oil working on Counter-Strike. To maintain your edge, what was your beverage of choice?

Arizona Green Tea or Tropicana Orange Juice

Will Counter-Strike ever reach a point where you can say, "Yep, it’s done," or will it be continually updated until Armageddon?

I think CS 1.0 is that point. I'm pretty much done with it and any future upgrades will deal strictly with bugs and cheats

When you tell people that you’re responsible for "Counter-Strike, the coolest multiplayer game ever!" what is their response?

Shhhh... I never told anyone [about] this…

Why isn’t there an A-Team mod?

There is… Check out Action Half-Life

We couldn’t find it but here’s something a lot better – The A-Team drinking game!

Are Canadians slowly taking over the gaming industry?

Are you implying that we're slow and dim-witted? Why can't we take over the industry in one fell swoop… You filthy American Scum!! <----- Just kidding

What Gooseman doesn’t realize is that we’re right in his backyard! The Armchair Empire is proudly Canadian, at least in an understated, humble sort of way even if we’re constantly bombarded with American influences (and we don’t mean their weak bear).

Do you play many videogames?

No, just computer games. Lately, I've been hooked on MechWarrior 4 and Hitman.. Also, the Project IGI demo kicks ass. Those Europeans sure know how to make games..

In your wildest dreams did you ever think people would be able to go into a store and buy a copy of Counter-Strike? And what kind of royalty deal do you have worked out with Sierra?

No, we were all pretty surprised at the decision to go retail with CS. As for royalties, I haven't even talked to Sierra about it. Still living off bread and water.

Where are you from and how did you wind up where you are now?

I was born 23 years ago in Saigon and now I reside in Vancouver, Canada making free mods out of my basement. A lot of stuff happened in between but none of it is really interesting.

Do you want to know more about Vancouver, B.C.?

http://www.city.vancouver.bc.ca/

Do you think mod makers create mods

A) for money?

B) for fame?

C) for a chance to seem cool to all those people they graduated with?

D) for sheer enjoyment?

Friggin’ D'!!!!!

Canadian Trivia Question: Who is the federal leader of the official opposition in Canada?

Saddam Hussein

Close, but incorrect. It’s Stockwell Day.
