Nintendo’s method of digital distribution, dubbed WiiWare, has been given a launch date of May 19.  With it, Nintendo hopes to give developers a method of releasing games digitally in a similar fashion to that found on the 360 and PS3.

There are a few games already planned for the service, such as an episodic game from Telltale games, Frontier’s Lostwind, and Square-Enix has a Crystal Chronicles games slated for it as well.

No word yet on a European launch date yet.
