Dead or Alive: Dimensions
Capcom has set the bar very high for
fighting games on the 3DS with Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition so
there's a lot that Dead or Alive: Dimenions needs to get right. I mean,
besides getting the jiggle right for digital 3D boobs. |

excitement when Samus Aran (of Metroid fame) showed up during one stage but Team Ninja squashed any talk of an appearance as a playable character with an outright denial.
Team Ninja has also taken cues from Capcom in implementing special moves via the touchscreen. While there are still niche crowds that lament these "win buttons" I welcome the feature. The nub isn't quite as precise as an arcade stick and in a genre that sometimes demands a high level of precision having the option to press a virtual button to make awesome stuff happen is a great one.
And if the screenshots are anything to go by, Dimensions will sport a full-on tutorial and training mode, complete with on-screen instructions.
I would expect that Dimensions would follow the same kind of modes of the console games but we'll know for sure when it ships at the end of May.
