Sonic Advance 3

Sonic the Hedgehog is Sega’s mascot and since Sega became a software publisher only, Sonic has appeared on every current gaming platform, including the N-Gage.  On some level we can all relate to a blue hedgehog that can run really, really fast, which is why he has remained so popular around the globe.

Sonic goes back to his sidescrolling roots with another outing on the GameBoy Advance and breaks down like this:

Dr. Eggman has used Chaos Controls to break the world into 7 parts, and plans to rain confusion by turning each into a Dr. Eggman Empire.  Sonic and Tails, having been separated from their friends, are teaming up to return the world to its original state.  To do this, they must find all 7 Chaos Emeralds and use Chaos Control to undo Dr. Eggman’s mischief.  But Dr. Eggman isn’t resting on his laurels.  He has used his engineering genius to perfect the ultimate fighting robot, and will use all in his power to stand in Sonic’s way.

Features:

Pick any one the 5 playable Sonic characters.  Then choose from the remaining 4 to play as your partner to help aid in your quest to bring down the evil Dr. Eggman.

Gain new abilities based on your partner, master them all for a variety of exciting adventures.

Link up GBA systems to play with up to 4 players in awesome 2-on-2 team battles.

The ability to team-up with a buddy certainly nods to Sonic Heroes (GC, PS2, XB) but the action seems to be a good fit for the GameBoy Advance’s library of games.

Sonic rolls into stores (again) in May.
