Battlefield
2
Battlefield
1942 has claimed its fair share of victims, as gamers picked up the game
in swarms. Now Digital
Illusions is at it again with Battlefield 2.
Taking place in modern times, players will have a huge arsenal of
hi-tech weaponry at their disposal as they take advantage of the
game痴 enhanced team play over its predecessor.
In terms of what countries players can choose to fight for, they値l be able to pick from the Chinese, the Americans, or the Middle East Coalition. As players fight for their country of choice, they値l be able to slowly climb through the ranks, possibly reaching the rank of general (assuming they're skilled enough to get there). There痴 no word as to how, or if, there値l be any sort of political goings on between these nations in game, but hopefully we値l see something interesting as the various forces clash.

With
over 100 players able to face off at once, they値l have over 30
vehicles at their disposal, including tanks, fighter jets, helicopters,
and hovercrafts among others. There
will also be a variety of soldier-types for players to choose,
ranging from snipers, to engineers, to special operations, to
anti tank personnel.
With
so many options available to players, one has to wonder how Digital
Illusions will ensure that the game remains balanced.
The last thing we need is for players to hop online only to get
stuck with a team full of snipers, or something.
That being said, Battlefield 1942 turned out quite well,
hopefully this can be repeated in this game as well. |
