Although
the title is a direct steal from the San Francisco Rush racing games,
the content is more Midtown Madness or Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions
with a wide-open city to navigate and explore – often at breakneck
speeds on the sidewalk and through parks. The last edition of Midtown Madness was an Xbox exclusive and
featured a few different international cities, but not Moscow, which
makes Moscow Rush original in its environment.
But
let’s get the official line:
Have
you ever been to Moscow? Even if you have been, but moved around in a
taxi, you will certainly enjoy the experience of street racing around
the real Moscow in the Moscow Rush game.
The main character is an ordinary urban chap. His whole life is focused
on his car and on the stuff attached to it: his friends, always asking
for a lift, street racing, dreams of a million dollars and so on.
The hero starts the game at the steering wheel of an old jalopy. There
are many ways to earn for the car of your dreams. You can become a cool
racer or get in touch with criminal gangs to become their leader. It’s your choice.
Hilarious
missions, rush-hour street racing, total freedom of action!

HBM is located near or in Moscow so the developers are close to the
source, making it easier to snag the small details and possibly include
local “color” that never makes the official maps or tourist guides.
