When it comes to 3D space strategy games, Homeworld has set on hell of a benchmark as to what gamers expect from the genre.  It had intuitive controls, a nice technology tree, smart enemies, and some intense, heated battles.  Lemon Interactive took a stab at the genre with Project Earth a while back to mixed reviews, and now City Interactive, a developer comprised of a number of former Lemon employees, is giving it another go with Project Earth 2.
