This year's
witching season of Halloween brings another expansion pack for the
hugely-popular The Sims, this time bringing the magical world of, well,
magic to your Sims and their universe on your PC with The Sims Makin'
Magic. This is likely the final expansion pack for The Sims before The
Sims 2 heads out of Maxis' door sometime in the next 4-6 months. There's
some new Sims gameplay features in Makin' Magic, such as the my-mojo's-better-than-your-mojo
spellcasting contests and duels that are similar to some challenges that
faced Sims gamers in the last Sims expansion pack, The Sims Superstar.
Sims fans will also be pleased with the witch's cauldron-full of new
spooky and supernatural additions to their Sims gaming, including a new
locale added to The Sims map, Magic Town, and plenty of new enchanted
items and characters.
Here's the official game info conjured up by Maxis:
Product Description: Brace Yourselves! Your Sims have Magic! In The Sims Makin' Magic
Expansion Pack, Sims are granted magical powers with the ability to cast
spells that are playful or deviant. Players can venture to an all-new
magical, carnival-themed destination, experience exciting new gameplay,
gain over 150 new items, and encounter a whole new cast of quirky
characters in this powerful pack of magical high jinx. See what happens
when you challenge the fate of your Sims as you concoct and cast magic
spells with good or bad intentions. In The Sims Makin' Magic, expect the
unexpected.

All Sims fans
should be pleased there's yet another expansion pack to increase to your
favorite game's playability until the long-awaited sequel, The Sims 2,
comes out. This could be the original Sims last hurrah before the
arrival of The Sims 2, but of course I've been saying that for the last
three Sims expansion packs, so don't be surprised if another Sims add-on
magically appears.
