God of War: Ghost of Sparta
Several console and a portable game on, God of War is still a favorite with the gamers, and now it's getting another entry on the PSP. With the last handheld GoW, its developers stated that they were pushing the system to the limit, but it seems they've managed to squeeze even more out of it. With that in mind, Ready at Dawn plans to throw in some new gameplay mechanics, as well as explain a bit more about Kratos' past, all while he goes on a trip to Atlantis.
Like previous God of War sequels, Ghost of Sparta isn't veering off from what the other games have been doing gameplay-wise. It'll be sticking with the fast, fluid fighting against enemies with a mix of interesting combos, weapons, and quick time events. There is a new move players will get to take advantage of here in that Kratos will be able to charge an enemy, and then either throw it or slam it on the ground and give it a good pummelling. On top of this, a new set of weapons is being introduced into the mix, most notably a shield and spear combo that is a lot more historically true to Kratos' Spartan roots than a lot of the other weapons he's wielded over the years.

Taking place between the events of the first and second God of War games, Ghost of Sparta will help explain a bit more of Kratos' past as he sets forth on an adventure in the city of Atlantis. Specifics on the plot are a bit lacking, but it stands to reason that there'll be much killing of gods and their underlings as Kratos goes on a rage-soaked extraveganza through antiquity. |

From what we've seen of the gameso far, it actaully looks quite nice, which is no mean feat given how goood the last PSP God of War game looked. On the previous ones, the developers said they were pushing the limits of the system, and now with this one they feel that they've pushed the PSP as far as it can go in terms of visuals and everything else that is going on in the game.
From day one, the God of War series has pushed out consistently good games, both on the PS2 / PS3, as well as the PSP. By the looks of things, Ghost of Sparta looks set to continue this trend.
