To the delight of many flight action fans, Namco recently announced the development of Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War (AC5). This is Namco’s second installment of the series on the Playstation 2.

Ace Combat 4 was truly a phenomenal game – a mix of high intensity combat mixed with slick visuals and simple controls. AC5 features a ton of improvements, innovations as well as totally new storyline. AC5 is set in the year 2010 and features a story of rivalry between two

fictional countries called Osea and Yuktobania. You play the leader of a flight squadron called into action to defend the interests of Osea.

One feature absent from Ace Combat 4 was the ability to exercise command over your wingmen. AC5 hopes to change that, as the development team has included a new feature called the Wingman Command. Using the Wingman Command you can issue orders and coordinate attacks against your enemies. This will surely add a nice touch to an already impressive looking game.

Intriguing story spanning over 30 missions makes ACE COMBAT 5 bigger and better than ever before.

ACE COMBAT 5 redefines realistic graphics in console air combat. Enjoy vividly rendered aircraft, exquisitely detailed environments, real–time weather effects and dynamic lighting. Stunning CG cinematics complement the epic storyline.

Keep your radar locked onto Ace Combat 5 this fall.
