Armored Core Nine Breaker
The PS2 has been blessed to have a large lineup of Mech games. In total there have been five Mech games released on the PS2 so far, with a few more to follow. One of the upcoming titles,
Armored Core Nine Breaker
(ACNB) is all about customizing your own machine and fighting your way to the top.
ACNB features two modes of play: Training and Arena Fighting. ACNB first puts you through a virtual boot camp to get you acquainted with how the game works. The training mode addresses three areas of gameplay: attack, defense and move. However if you’ve played the previous games in the series, you can skip the training.
In the Arena Fighting mode (Campaign Style Mode) you build up your Mech and compete against other
Mechs. The more battles you win, the better parts you get to build up your
character. While character customization seems rather mandatory in a lot of games, ACNB includes a crazy number of customization options. You can choose from over 400 parts to outfit your Mech with.
Aside from the campaign style mode, the game also has multiplayer support. While there is no actual online play, instead you can play split screen,
i-link or over LAN. Fans of the series hoping to go online will most likely have to wait for the next

installment in the series.
ACNB
is quickly approaching its release date so fans of the series won’t be
waiting too much longer. ACNB is scheduled to ship in late July.
