Death by Degrees

We’ve seen her in the fighting ring, but now Namco’s sexy Undercover Operative makes her debut in the action/adventure Death by Degrees. Yeah, we’re talking about Tekken’s Nina Williams. In Death by Degrees, Nina will have to confront the demons from her dark past in order to carry out a dangerous mission. She is dispatched to investigate the whereabouts of a stolen high-tech weapon and must infiltrate a shadowy organization and reveal a conspiracy on a global scale.

Feautures:

360-DEGREE COMBAT .  Surrounded?  Death by Degrees offers hundreds of possible attacks in all directions using both analog sticks.

CRITICAL STRIKE ATTACK .  Death by Degrees offers an on-screen “X-ray scan” to target the weak points of an enemy's body such as bones and internal organs to inflict massive damage.

EMPLOY STEALTH AND ESPIONAGE .  Sneak up behind enemies, use evasion maneuvers, and put unsuspecting guards out with sleeper holds.

SPECIAL TEKKEN MOVES .  Fans will recognize Nina's Tekken moves including Evil Mist, attacks, throws and submission techniques.

INCREDIBLE GAMEPLAY VARIETY .  Players will be able to master nearly unlimited combinations of ranged acrobatics, throws, grappling techniques, hand-to-hand weapons (including katanas and tonfa), and firearms.

A CINEMATIC ADVENTURE .  A richly detailed story unfolds with an hour of real-time and pre-rendered movies.

Tekken fans such as myself should have their hopes high for this game. Nina has been in every Tekken game to date and she might not be the most important character, but she definitely is one of the most popular. The first thing that popped into my mind when hearing about Death by Degrees was Midway’s Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero, which practically used the same idea. Sub-Zero fan boys got what they wanted and hopefully Namco can do the same for all the Nina fans out there.
