Suikoden
IV
For
all of the critical acclaim and all around love that each new installment
in the Suikoden series gets, Konami sure doesn’t print a lot of copies
of the game when it gets a North American release.
If you don’t buy the thing within a couple of weeks of the
title’s release, you’re pretty much out of luck…unless you happen
to enjoy buying rare games at obscene prices on eBay.
Nonetheless, there is a new edition to the series slated for
release on this side of the Pacific come January 2005.

Following
the story of an exiled soldier unfortunate enough to have inherited a
cursed rune, the game takes place 150 years before the events of the
original Suikoden. Also
familiar to fans of the series, the 108 Stars of Destiny also return for
Suikoden IV. Features: -
Strategic battle systems allow players to attack or cast magic spells
with help from other party members. -
Story and character designs by producer Junko Kawano from the original Suikoden. -
Superior quality cut-scenes with dynamic lighting effects enhance the
story. |

ground up.
With
even prettier visuals, some tweaks to the battle system, and the
return of the series' original storyteller and character designer, long
time fans of the series have something to look forward to upon Suikoden
IV’s release. Hopefully,
this time there will be enough copies of the game printed so everyone
