Time Crisis: Crisis Zone

Yes, you read the title right. The next Time Crisis: Crisis Zone (TCCZ) is headed to stores soon. Hopefully this will be the full-fledged Time Crisis 4 but I wouldn't mind if it was Time Crisis 3 and 1/2. TC3 was amazing and really made you feel big while holding that GunCon2.

This time, Time Crisis takes it one step further and gives gamers the feature I'm most excited about in this sequel. TCCZ will include Double GunCon2 support. You heard me. Double GunCon2 support. Take a little while to let it sink in. That means you can race through the levels as a complete badass destroying multiple enemies at the same time. In fact, while you're a bigshot with two GunCon2s, you can cross your hands and let loose a barrage of freestyle shooting, warning those who are watching never to get stuck in a dark alley with you. Here's the official line from Namco:

The action takes place in Garland Square, on the outskirts of London. The newly opened complex has been taken over by a terrorist group, and it's up to you to liberate it. Enjoy an unprecedented level of interaction with the background: shoot CDs and books off of store shelves, burn racks of clothing, break glass, or slice through metal bars. Blaze through levels using double-gun shooting action with two GunCon2s to take down enemies. Several gameplay modes and score rankings add to the game’s replayability.

Features:

HIGH INTERACTION WITH ENVIRONMENT. Players weapons have a realistic effect on almost everything in the environment, including items on shelves and tables, glass windows and doors, metal bars and even racks of clothing.

DOUBLE GUN GAMEPLAY. Players who have two Guncon2s can select a single- or double-gun game. Double-gun shooting action lets players equip two GunCon2s to take down enemies John Woo style, adding a fun and unique element to the game.

VARIETY OF WEAPONS. Many unlockable features have been included in the game, such as extra play modes, special game settings, and even new enemies, giving the game high replay value.

The only drawback I see this game having is making people buy an extra GunCon2. Many people do not own a single one and it looks like you'll need to have two to get the most out of this game. For those with only one, you may be looking at a very similar game to TC3 (unless a buddy owns one). Still Crisis Zone is a welcome addition to the TC series and will be anticipated by me. Crisis Zone hits stores in Q4 2004.
