Frame
City Killer
It
looks like Namco is going to be giving Xbox 360 owners the chance to
play out their dream of being a secret agent posing as a hitman
infiltrating an East Asian drug cartel with their upcoming title, Frame
City Killer. With this
game, players will have a variety of options in how they plan their
hits, slowly bringing themselves closer to being able to kill Khan, the
leader of the cartel.
With Frame City Killer, it will be all about choices as players plan out their kills. First they’ll have to learn as much about their target as they can, either by intimidating his cronies, paying off informants, or talking with the target’s associates. Once this is done, it’s time to decide exactly where and when players want the hit to go down. Everything from a |

straightforward
sniper hit, to grandiose bombings is at players’ disposal as they take
down their targets.
There will also be something called the Sequential Kill System which will allow players to chain together attacks, while still being able to switch between various weapons on the fly. With all of the careful planning that is going to be necessary for making hits in |

the game, one has to wonder why there is such a system in place. It sounds more like something that would be used as a last resort during a messy hit that didn’t go as planned.
Joining
the chorus of developers embracing the Unreal Engine 3, Namco has some
high hopes for the title’s visuals.
At this point, the game isn’t looking as breath-taking as
UE3’s flagship project, Gears of War, but hopefully the visuals will
see some tweaking between now and the game’s launch.
With the game currently slated for a Winter 2005 release, all
signs point to Frame City Killer being a launch title, or at least very
close to it.
