Vultures

While
discovering North and South America certainly was a big leap forward for
the societies of Europe, the indigenous people of these continents had
nothing to be happy about with the likes of Cortez marching onward, ever
onward, seizing land and gathering treasure to bring back to Spain,
leaving a path of death and destruction in his wake. However, developer Grin is clocking in with an alternate history of the
events of the conquest of the New World in their new arena combat game,
Vultures.
In
this game the societies of North and South America were able to repel
the invasions of the European forces, sending them back to their
homelands. Making matters
worse for them, Europe was devastated by a plague and those who were
lucky enough to survive eventually became conquered by the Native
Americans when they crossed the Atlantic.
Now centuries have passed with no technological advancement and
the now conquered European masses, dubbed “Vultures” by the Native
Americans, are forced into gladiatorial combat for the enjoyment of
their oppressors.
Players
will have over 16 different characters to choose from as well as a large
arsenal of appropriately brutal weapons to dish out damage as they
lock horns in large arenas riddled with obstacles and various devices
that can be used to their advantage. Besides the requisite story more, Vultures will also include
the multiplayer options of death match and co-op play for when you want
to play with your friends.
Features:
Eventful beat 'em up!
Action-packed gladiator fights with an exciting end-of-the-world
scenario.
Cinematic 3D graphics make full use of the advanced features of the Xbox
video game system.
Realistic character animation.
More than 16 different gladiators with individual fighting styles.
Dozens of weapons, from simple daggers to huge swords to mighty battle
axes.
Bodies are divided into hit zones that allow for targeted attacks
25 distinct 3D arenas replete with deadly
traps.
Electrifying atmosphere in the arenas, where the audience vehemently
roots for or against the contestants.
Captivating multiplayer mode for up to 2 players who play with or
against each other.
It’s
not often that gamers have the opportunity to actually sink their teeth
into this sort of combat in beat ‘em up/fighting games.
Hopefully Grin can bring it all together nicely with the final
product, filling a rather discouraging void in the sea of gaming
libraries out there.
