Nanostray
A while back, Shin En made a shooter for the GBA called Iridion. A lot of people hated it. Deciding to go back to the drawing board, Shin En did some serious overhauling and released Iridion II, again on the GBA. A lot of people really liked it. Now, Shin En is at it once again, this time making a shooter for the Nintendo DS, called Nanostray.
Previous efforts from Shin En have had a look similar to the classic Neo Geo shooter, Viewpoint. That doesn’t appear to be the case this time, as it looks like there are a lot more in the way of open areas. Besides this, there’s also the matter of having two screens to |

make
use of. As is pretty much
becoming the norm for the system, one screen in Nanostray is displaying
all of the action while the other provides radar, weapons and ship
status, and other helpful bits of info while going around and shooting
enemies.
Watching
the shooters that Shin En have released so far, they’ve managed to
show that they are capable of improving by leaps and bounds if they put
their mind to it. Hopefully
this will also be the case with Nanostray when it hits the streets later
this year.
