Kingdom Under Fire 2: The Crusade

The first Kingdom Under Fire was a ho-hum strategy RPG just going through the paces without really trying to do anything new.  However, this second game is going for a totally different experience.  Instead of being another strategy RPG, KUF 2 will be an intense action title in the spirit of the Dynasty Warriors series with strategy elements thrown into the fray.

KUF 2 takes place 50 years after the events of the first game, where an uneasy peace has settled on the land after the successful defeat of Amaruak.  But during these 50 years the Dark Legion has had the opportunity to rebuild itself and has laid waste to a small human settlement on the border of orc and dark elf territory.  Now the armies of Hironeiden and Eclessia are on the march once more to stop the evil army from repeating its wave of destruction.

With the added hardware power of the Xbox, maybe we’ll see a noticeable lack of slowdown compared to titles of this sort to appear on the Playstation 2 so far.  From the looks of the screens available thus far KUF 2 is looking mighty impressive.   How exactly the strategy elements will be implemented into the game are unclear of yet, but it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out when the game hits store shelves.
