Robotech: Invasion

The number of otaku floating about who can blame their addiction to the appearance of Robotech in the 80’s is staggering especially whenever they claim that Macross was stolen from that show. (My brain hurts at how stupid that is.) Robotech: Invasion takes place in the final third of the Robotech universe with the invasion of Earth by the Invid. For this saga, you control a member of the guerilla resistance using your cyclone to try to free the Earth from the alien aggressors. Your cyclone comes with 2 modes of operation: motorcycle mode (with missile launchers) or power armor mode (access to more powerful attacks at the cost of mobility). So far, no game play screen shots have come out from the publisher’s website but the pictures all appear to be cut-scene art – not that’s necessarily a bad thing. If the action portrayed is as good as the pictures appear, we could be in for a treat.
