Before its release last year, more than a few people in the
gaming industry chuckled at the thought of a Rocky-licensed boxing game.
It was, after all, another movie-based game, which notoriously are
usually awfully spectacular disasters. So the skepticism was warranted.
But although Rocky had its lion’s share of flawed features and wasn’t a
huge selling hit, it was actually a generally acceptable boxing game
that did some justice to the Rocky franchise.
Just like the inevitable comeback-from-retirement resurrection of
another has-been heavyweight boxer, there’s a sequel on the horizon,
Rocky Legends. This time around, however, the developers are going into
the 12th round with an overload of features sure to be a big hit,
including probable online support.
Yo, Adrianne, (and everybody else reading this) here’s the official
game info:
Now for the first time, gamers can experience all of the
action leading up to the amazing feats from the blockbuster films!
Pummel your way through exclusive career modes featuring Rocky, Clubber,
Apollo, and Drago.
Features:
All-New Career Mode allows you to follow your favorite character –
Rocky Balboa, Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang, and Ivan Drago – from his
raw beginnings right through his professional career.

Eight Authentic Training Games available to the boxers; each boxer has
five tailored training sessions to choose from in his career mode.
Two-Player VS Training Modes allow the player to compete against a
friend in a trial of strength and determination.
40 Opponents: 26 new boxers plus returning fighters from the first game
bring the total to more than 40 opponents with extra, hidden, unlockable
characters.
20 Venues including 13 brand-new venues, featuring more familiar
locations from the films, such as the Philadelphia Art Museum, a Casino
on the Vegas strip, the Docks in Philly, and the Russian training camp
from Rocky IV.
The development team is really going the extra mile in Rocky
Legends with more boxers, more modes, and more venues. If they can also
improve the problems associated with the first game (mediocre graphics,
easy-to-beat A.I.) and the mentioned online play is really included in
the final version of Rocky Legends, the coulda-been-a-contender original
game will have a shot at becoming this year’s boxing game champion
with Rocky Legends.
