Sniper Elite
World War II themed shooters have invaded the PS2, Xbox and PC in large number. Call of Duty, Medal of Honor and Brothers in Arms are just a few to name. Not surprisingly another World War II shooter is headed to the above platforms.
During the late stages of World War II, the Russians are attempting to steal nuclear technology from the German military. You control the destiny of an American Secret Agent trained by the OSS. Instead of playing as an American Soldier on the battlefield, the game offers a unique twist. Your character goes undercover as a German Operative whose main objective is to prevent nuclear technology from falling into the Russians hands and protecting American interests.
Sniper Elite (SE) seems to be a mixture of Medal of Honor and Brothers in Arms in terms of gameplay. You won’t be accompanied by a large group of soldiers like in Call of Duty or |

Brothers in Arms. Instead you’ll find yourself working alone to complete missions, like Medal of Honor. However the environments will be open to explore like in Brothers in Arms. SE is looking like the complete package, featuring a robust offline experience including cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes as well as online play
Features: - Realistic WWII sniper simulation -- Gain access to the precise sniping position by taking out key enemy obstacles – machine gun nests, guard posts, and sentries. - 28 sensitive and challenging |

missions – use stealth and skill to infiltrate hostile enemy territory - Hone your sniping skills – use gravity, elevation, wind speed and direction, heart rate, breath, posture, background noise, and other conditions to successfully hit your mark - 4 Modes of play – Single player, 2-player co-op, 2-player death match, and multiplayer network play - Deep non-linear levels and sophisticated enemy AI -- freely explore war-torn Berlin and find your window of opportunity to line-up the perfect shot
Look for SE to hit store shelves in late September. Siddharth Masand (July 29, 2005)
