Soul Calibur V
Anyone out there remember what happened at

Europe (for some reason). There's also a
note that players will "follow the story of Patroklos, son of Sophitia
as the battle for the Soul Swords continues." If past experience is
anything to go by, the story won't matter. Why would it in a game where
the principal goal is to beat on your opponent and win two out of three
rounds to move on to the next opponent. |

spaghetti style story -- throw it a wall,
stuff will stick but it's still messy -- have only ever served as an
excuse to design some of the most reckless character designs and
costumes this side of a Gay Pride Parade.
The biggest mystery around Soul Calibur V
is which "guest stars" might be included. In Soul Calibur IV we got
Darth Vander, Yoda, and The Apprentice (all from Star Wars, though it
might be pretty cool to have Donald Trump as a playable character).
Nothing has been announced or even hinted at as far as I can tell but
speculation and guesses will likely continue right up until the game
ships sometime in 2012. My own guess is Travis Touchdown from the No
More Heroes series since his laser sword weapon is a perfect match for
the sword slashing that Soul Calibur is known for. (July 27, 2011)
