Maybe they should have just called it, "Huggy Bear, we love you!" but either way, here are the facts:

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Return to the 1970’s with Starsky & Hutch in this fast paced action-driving game featuring 25 huge levels and set in a living 3D world modeled after the series location Bay City, spanning over 25 meticulously detailed square miles. With a little help from your street informant Huggy Bear, you’re going to clean up the streets, one episode at a time.

KEY PRODUCT FEATURES

Full 25 episode series set over 4 Bay City locations, approximately 25 square miles.

Unique scoring system involving TV viewer ratings - the better the stunts, the driving, and the shooting, the better the ratings become.

All of the Original Starsky & Hutch characters - including Huggy Bear.

Driving and Shooting with support for the Guncon/Guncon 2 and steering wheels.

Single and Multi-player modes of play- with support for up to 4 or 8 players (with 4 players requiring a PlayStation 2 Multi-Tap Peripheral and 8 players requiring two PS2 systems linked and 2 PlayStation 2 Multi-Tap peripherals; 8-player mode requires the Xbox System Link Cable for the Xbox).

Starsky and Hutch looks to be an amazing game. So far there have been few games out on the next generation consoles that use the Gun. (The few include Time crisis 2 and Endgame, which are both for the Playstation 2. And House of the Dead III for Xbox.)

From what I have seen in early screenshots, the game looks pretty solid. Hopefully Starsky and Hutch delivers the goods in the end. The game should hit stores for both the Playstation 2 and Xbox in March sometime.
