Super
Monkey Ball Deluxe
After enjoying two successful outings on the Gamecube, Sega’s Super Monkey Ball series is making its way to the Playstation 2 and Xbox this March. The title is planned to be a supped-up version of the previous games, packed with levels from those titles, as well as a deluxe of new stages for this deluxe version of the game.

The game is going to have a total of 300 stages to play on, with a breakdown of 114 from Super Monkey Ball, 140 from Super Monkey Ball 2, and 46 new stages for deluxe. Also, instead of the different difficulty levels being divided up, they will gently blend one into another. This edition will also have the twelve party games from the first two Super Monkey Ball games.
Largely, though, the game is just a chance for people to play the Super Monkey Ball series, who missed the boat when the series was exclusive to the Gamecube. Assuming Sega doesn’t do something outrageously stupid during the port to horribly cripple the game, players should have a very rewarding, borderline monstrous title to sink their teeth into. |
