Dead Rising 2: Off the RecordScore: 8.5 / 10
At this point, Dead Rising 2 is like your
mom's meatloaf. |

further off the recipe by adding a full
clove of garlic and somehow the lid of the paprika fell off and there
was tons of it in the mix. The base is still meatloaf, but it tastes
different, which is exactly where Dead Rising 2 is at this point with
"Off the Record." |

pepper. So, if you've spent any time with the original Dead Rising, the Dead Rising 2 prologue Case Zero, the full Dead Rising 2, or its epilogue Case West, you know exactly what you're getting with Off the Record, which offers an alternate take on the events of the Fortune City outbreak that was originally experienced by Chuck Greene.
I like the general "What if...?" of the
scenario, especially because the core of the game hasn't changed. There
have been some new areas and psychos, and weapon combos added, the
photography feature from the original returns, and deviations from the
original Dead Rising 2 story line (or at least how the events are
experienced), but it's all instantly familiar, which makes it easy to
recommend for those that appreciated the past meatl-- Dead Rising games. (October 27, 2011)
