Bender (Futurama)

by Moore Action Collectibles

bender action figure

While the Simpsons has fallen into a slump as of late in the quality of its writing, Matt Groening’s other series, Futurama, is certainly kicking ass and taking names. The way that it hilariously pokes fun at sci-fi conventions is a laugh-riot. It was only a matter of time until a series of action figures based on the TV show came alone, thanks to ? and the one in the likeness of Bender is definitely no slump.

The one thing about making a action figure based on Groening’s characters is that it has to be "un-detailed" with everything somewhat rounded and aesthetically vague. Bender falls into

this perfectly. He has

everything he’d need from the show, and its all been yanked into the third dimension for our posing pleasure. He’s about 6 inches tall and has all of the accessories we’d expect him to carry: alcohol, a bending rod, oil, and what looks to be a slot machine. Topping it off is the suicide booth display piece. It’s authenticity at its best. Standing him up is insanely easy too since he has those big, flat feet, and putting him into poses isn’t too difficult either, as he has bendy joints.

Bender is a spiffy figure if ever there was one and certainly deserves a place next to those Simpsons figures.
