Bossk (Star Wars 12")
by Hasbro

The world needs more bounty hunters – especially of the 12" Star Wars variety.
The Bounty Hunter series is a welcome addition after the glut of Episode 1
figures. Bossk is a typical example of bounty
hunter scum and an excellent example of Hasbro’s attention to detail with the
12" figures.
If you don’t know who Bossk is, I suggest you watch The Empire Strikes Back.
He’s one of the bounty hunters, the big lizard one that drools, receiving
instructions on the capture of Han Solo. He’s one tough looking character and
his 12" action figure

likeness captures this perfectly – right down to his scaly feet and elongated
forearms. His head is very well sculpted, which should be expected considering
the size of the figure. Bossk’s lumpy, scaly head highlights his eyes, which
bulge slightly, and his pug nose. His mouth is formed in a
semi-smile (indicating he’s either happy or homicidal), exposing a few jagged
teeth. What’s most important is that he has the "wet" look, like he’s sweating,
glistening the way he did in Empire. His three-

clawed hands and feet pose the obvious question: How does this guy dress
himself?
Bossk’s flight suit is very similar to those worn by Rebel Alliance pilots. He
probably stole the suit from a Rebel target – or he was part of the Alliance at
some point and he just can’t get the damn thing off. The clothes are very well
fabricated. The plastic hoses and harness match their "real world" counter
parts. The gun ammo clipped around his shins is a good touch. Everything is
snug, yet loose enough to facilitate ease of movement. Taking some of the
clothes off is an option but getting them back on can be frustrating, so it’s
not recommended.
Bossk was made to be played with! The shin-clipped gun ammo may be lost but
other than that there’s no reason not to play with this figure. His gun slides
easily into his right hand – one of the claws is slightly bent to fit the
handle. When the gun’s not in use it can be slung over his shoulder. He fits in
with other 12" figures and can double as Godzilla against G.I. Joes or any
MUSCLE figures you’ve got lying around. Articulation is very good so putting him
in a variety of poses is no problem. Standing him is also easy, which is
surprising considering how small his feet are. Playing or displaying, Bossk is
up for the task.
