Deluxe Dessicator  from McFarlane Toys

 

 

The deluxe Dessicator is part of the 13th Series of Spawn figures and those that are familiar with the comic representation will appreciate the amount of work that went into this figure.


This is a big (about 8"), heavy figure. It amazes me that it can stand on it’s own considering the freaky-small feet that Dessicator has. There are tubes and armour

plating wrapped around Dessicator with probe-looking things sticking out of his head, creating a post-apocalyptic look. He comes equipped with a big gattling gun mounted on his shoulder. The gun can be wound-up manually then released by pressing a small button, allowing the gun to spin. It’s a neat effect. Be careful how you store Dessicator because the gun can be bent quite easily. He comes with a chain decorated with

skulls. It’s not a kids toy, the box says "Ages 13+" and the playability is limited. It’s a great showpiece though; the detail is very high. (This is typical of most McFarlane Toys) Articulation is limited, too, due mostly to Dessicator’s shape.


Number of seconds it took for my wife to ask why I bought Dessicator: 0.2.
