Having
played with Leggs for the last few days I can’t help but ask the
question: How many characters have died during the Simpsons’ long run?I haven’t missed that many episodes over the last 13 years and
I can think of less than 12 – excluding the Halloween Specials and
in-show episodes of Itchy & Scratchy.Anyone count these things?
But
why am I thinking of death after playing with Leggs? He comes packed with a hitman’s rifle, of course.
Leggs
is yet another great addition to the Simpsons series – and that’s
about as much repetition as I’m willing to make you endure.I sound like a broken record every time I review a Simpson figure
because they all share similar characteristics: solidly constructed,
great accessories, dead-on likeness, four points of articulation, and
tons of playability.Don’t
get me wrong – this is a good thing, it’s just tough to find
something new to say…
Leggs
does have a major problem though. His
hands aren’t sculpted very well.He can’t hold

practically anything – even the accessories
that come packed with him.Although
the inability to hold the money counter makes some sense, getting him to hold the picture of
Seymour “Have You Seen My Body Today?” Skinner or the rifle is
nearly impossible. (Don't let the picture fool you.)The
picture slots into his right hand but it won’t stay there and his left
hand, although sculpted to suggest holding a gun, is too tight to
actually grip anything except the switchblade. This
is disappointing because what’s a hitman without a heater?
Playability
matches any of the figures of Simpsons line.Leggs is solid. ‘Nuff said.
The
Simpsons line seems to be slowing down in terms of releases but at least
Playmates is being more diverse in the characters being released.Leggs is a good addition.
