Sheriff
Hoyt is from the remake of The Texas
Chainsaw Massacre. He
stands 7¼” inches tall. I was able to find two points of articulation
– each arm can be rotated. Out of all the McFarlane figures I have
now, this one has the least amount of articulation (which is no biggie
since you can’t do much with the other figures anyways).
Sheriff
Hoyt has an incredible amount of detail. The wrinkles on his face look
very good and the expression helps it look more realistic. He has a
bunch of other noticeable details like the scar on his arm. His clothing
also looks very convincing, which is really hard to do, especially with
plastic.
Accessories
included with the sheriff are a handgun and a two-part van base that
connects together and recreates a scene from the movie. To be honest,
this base is really awesome. The van itself is very detailed. The
cracked glass looks realistic, not to mention all the blood coming from
it.
McFarlane,
as usual, used dull tons of paints to give it a realistic look. The
shirt on the sheriff looks a bit worn out and the pants have a nice
shade of brown. The shoes have some nice dabs of a lighter brown to make
it look like mud. Mcfarlane’s magnificent talent was really well shown
through this figure.

The
van has a dark coating of green and the wheel on the back looks very
professional. The bottom part of the stand has tire markings on it. Even
the license plate looks like it has been covered with mud.
Would
I recommend Sheriff Hoyt? If you’re a fan of The Chain Saw Massacre,
it is a must for your collection.
