Terminatrix Endoskeleton (Terminator 3) by McFarlane Toys

The Terminatrix was the perfect feminine villain to take on our big muscly action stereotype Arnie.  Smooth, sleek, slim and sexy, Kristanna Loken kicked some ass in her scary role as the murderous feminine robot. Now she comes to us in action figure form, minus the liquid-metal skin with all the attachments, as the T-X Endoskeleton.

Standing approx 7" tall, the Endoskeleton is a lovingly detailed Terminator – accurately painted with sharp metallics and blue 'lights', she's the exact replica of the onscreen killing machine. There's lots of great mechanical details: all over her body are soft-plastic hoses attaching different parts of her inner structure, moving as she moves – very nicely done. In the movie, the T-X's arms would move ala Inspector Gadget to change into different weapons and gadgets; to represent this, the Endoskeleton's lower arms are easily interchangeable for two weapons: a big electricity-projectile gun-thing, and a circular blade tool. These are excellent accessories and changing them is simple, although they're too small for children, but as this is essentially a collector's piece, that's okay. To top this off, many of her joints have actual mechanical ratchets, holding the articulation stiffly and adding to the realism of the movement.

Speaking of movement, the T-X abounds with articulation: a total of 19 points of articulation, with an ingenious ball-jointed neck, ball jointed arms and legs, unique sliding foot articulation, and joints everywhere else. Unlike her beefier opponents, she can really move, putting the poor T-850's to shame. However, her playability is questionable with her

sickly-thin body. I doubt she would stand up to rough play – some of the tubes came out with only a little bit of posing. Best to leave this one for the collectors and older players rather than the kids.

Included with the T-X is an uber-cool base for her to stand on. Very similar to the T-850's base, it's essentially a piece of cement floor covered in broken pieces of smashed wall, with a very cool extra - the arm of a T-101. It looks like it moves, just like the T-800 Endoskeleton figure! (It actually doesn't, but man it’s cool anyway.) The T-X stands easily on the base thanks

to black pegs (which thankfully didn't break like the T-850) and her obscure foot articulation. The drawback is, she refuses to stand without the base. Such a thin and stickly figure with so much articulation just wont stand on it's own, so the base is a godsend.

The T-X Endoskeleton is an awesome figure, as terrifying and sexy as the onscreen killer. T-3 fans wont want to miss this figure, unless they buy the deluxe boxed set which is due out shortly; including this same T-X figure (give or take some articulation, including a sweet blue-glow light inside) as well as a battle damaged Arnie and a wrecked helicopter base. What do I think? Get both! The more Endoskeletons, the better.
