Assuming the role of a dusty wild west A-Team in this team-based
strategy game offers a lot of challenge against a rugged backdrop of hi-res
artwork featuring dry canyons, decrepit towns, and dark riverboat
casinos you hunt down the evil El Diablo. The difficulty level is
a little unforgiving at times and sports a few too many "perfect
solutions" but the environments are open enough to offer a lot of
lateral thinking.
A
volleyball game in this day and age that doesn't feature gratuitous
breast jiggling? While it's going on three years old, Beach
Spikers is a great beach volleyball game that concentrates on actual
volleyball and some technical aspects that others in the genre (Outlaw
Volleyball, DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball) have not addressed.
The first Xbox game to make me say, "Wow!"
Unlocking the more desirable vehicles is a task unto itself and I would
have loved a "free ride" option instead of sticking to each
mission objective, but Wreckless still mananges to offer some fun,
particularly if you dig the Burnout series.
No
small paragraph can possibly encapsulate an adventure game such as Day
of the Tentacle, which featured a purple tentacle and a trio of time
travellers. As a sequel to the classic Maniac Mansion, this title
mixed great graphics, hilarious animation, an easy interface, hummable
tunes, and some of the best lines in gaming (particularly if you have
the CD version). At a time when adventure games were king, Day of
the Tentacle demonstrated the best of the genre. Must have.
