Knights
of Honor European Publishing Deal
(Press
Release)
April
8, 2004
Heusenstamm,
Germany-
SUNFLOWERS, Germany’s
leading producer of PC games, today announced that it has signed a
European distribution agreement with Electronic Arts (EA NASDAQ:
ERTS), the world’s leading interactive entertainment software company,
for the upcoming Empire Conquering Simulation title, “Knights of HonorTM”.
This
agreement marks the continuation of the successful cooperation between
the two companies, which began 2 years ago with a worldwide publishing
agreement for the best-selling ANNO 1503 – The New World.
“Knights
of HonorTM” is
developed by Bulgarian based Black Sea Studios and represents a new type
of strategy game. It sets players in the warring realms of mediaeval
Europe, where they are challenged to become rulers of the whole
continent. SUNFLOWERS is working collaboratively with Black Sea Studios
to bring gamers a renewed gaming experience. In addition to strategies
like war, diplomacy and the creation of a flourishing infrastructure for
civilisation, players can gain the allegiance of knights possessing
special abilities, to further grow their kingdoms.
SUNFLOWERS
president Adi Boiko commented: “I’m very happy to be able to
continue our successful cooperation with Electronic Arts. Our previous
successes were but the beginning of SUNFLOWERS’ plans, and we look
forward to continued partnership to work together on top-line titles”
.
Frank
Sagnier, Vice President Electronic Arts Partner, is also happy about
their continued cooperation:
“With
the inspired mix of innovative gameplay and varied possibilities for
replayability, “Knights of HonorTM”
is an outstanding addition to the EA Partners distribution
catalogue. We are thrilled to be working again with SUNFLOWERS to
deliver this masterful game to a mass audience in Europe.”
Electronic
Arts will have exclusive distributing rights for “Knights of HonorTM”
within Europe. SUNFLOWERS will be responsible for marketing and PR in
German language territories.
“Knights
of HonorTM” is planned for release on PC-CDROM in
Autumn
2004.
