Gary
Grigsby’s World at War Goes Gold!
Staten Island, NY, Feb 28^th , 2005 -* Matrix Games and 2 By 3 Games
announced today that Gary Grigsby’s World at War has officially
“gone gold.” The game is due for final release in March.
Gary Grigsby’s World at War has already been hailed as an elegant and
accessible game design with adjustable realism and detail; where the
difficulty can be tailored to your specific level and your opponents
range from a challenging computer AI to up to four other human players.
With a beautiful world map and detailed historical playing pieces, you
will see the world as it stands on the brink of World War II and rushes
headlong into chaos. Command your nation with brilliance and resolve or
defeat will surely be just around the corner.
David Heath, Director of Operation at Matrix Games said, “We are as
excited about this title as we can be. Gary Grigsby and 2 by 3 Games
have continuously provided war gamers with an outlet for creative and
intriguing titles. We believe that Gary Grigsby’s World at War will
not only uphold this reputation, but expand it to gamers that have never
before seen a grand strategy game of this quality.”
Gary Grigsby’s World at War takes you through four World War II
scenarios where five playable powers battle across thirty-eight
different countries with fifteen different unit types. Each unit type
has up to fourteen attributes, which you can upgrade through careful
research of new technology during the war. Rules cover everything from
strategic movement to cold weather, nuclear weapons, and even deal with
managing supply lines in the advanced mode of the game. With a top-notch
AI, Play-by-Email capability, and two in depth tutorials, World at War
will make you a general in a day but keep you occupied year round.
