Demo Release Round-Up

(May 28, 2004)

Pro Rugby Manager 2004 (Cyanide Studios)

"For those unfortunate enough not to have experienced the glory of decimating the French team with the greatest team in the world – England - Digital Jesters has thoughtfully provided an easy way in: a brand new multiplayer-enabled demo.

Players can choose from single-player, LAN connection or online play. Although there are four teams available - England, France, Biarritz and Leicester - it's likely that most will be aching to recreate the dramatic confrontation between the two international squads. More relevant is the choice of two stadiums, allowing the complete domination of all things French on their home turf and on ours. Which is obviously how it should be."

Chaos League (Strategy First/Pointsoft)

"Digital Jesters, in conjunction with developers Cyanide, and other publishers, Strategy First and Pointsoft are delighted to provide the baying public with their first opportunity to lay their paws on the highly original game Chaos League.

Chaos League takes Real Time Strategy and places it in a savage sporting arena. The result is a frantic, violent single and multiplayer ball game that has a number of journalists heralding it as "unlike anything PC gamers of this generation have experienced."

This demo features a small selection from the wide variety of exciting races to try out - the Barbarians and the Undead - each allowing a unique style of play.

Three matches in a row will be allowed before the demo has a bad mood and insists you do the dishes, which will be nowhere near enough to sate your appetite. How convenient, then, that the full game will let you play all day and all night, and will be available in the shops soon-ish, with a SRP of £29.99."
