Digital Jesters and AGEIA Join Forces to get Physical
Digital Jesters Selects AGEIA’s Hardware-accelerated Physics Technologies For All Future Games
(Press Release - PC)
20 May 2005
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Video game publisher Digital Jesters announced today at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) its exclusive support of AGEIATM Technologies' revolutionary PhysXTM processor and NovodeXTM physics software for all future games. The first Digital Jesters published game to utilize these technologies will be Bet on Soldier, a first-person shooter available for the PC that launches this summer in the US and worldwide.
The AGEIA PhysX processor is a revolutionary new category of processor that will help redefine how physics in video games are perceived, featuring the Physics Processing Unit the next milestone in the evolution of game acceleration hardware. AGEIA's NovodeX physics software is also uniquely equipped for this revolution in hardware-accelerated physics, and is the only multi-threaded physics API that can unleash the power of multiprocessor systems.
"We have always been keen to work with the most advanced technology available for our games, and these tools from AGEIA allow our developers to be on the cutting edge in their fields," said Leo Zullo, Digital Jesters co-founder and marketing director.
