World of Warcraft gets Parental Controls
November 24, 2005
Parents worried about their kids playing way too long on World of Warcraft now have a new tool at their disposal, as Blizzard is implementing a new set of parental controls for their popular MMORPG.

What parents will need to do is log into their child's WoW account, where they can setup a parnetal control password. After this, they can begin to set a schedule as to when their kid plays the game.
These controls provide parents with a number of preset options that can limit their kids play time in WoW to weekends or evenings, or have forced breaks at regular intervals, for example. However, there is also the option to manually set the times, and durations for which their kid can play. |

Once the parental controls have been set, they are in affect for every character associated with that account, and can only be changed by the parent.
The controls are up and ready to go; they can be found on the official World of Warcraft site. |
