Someone has
finally found a way to make a trojan for the PSP, and the results of the
thing aren't pretty. Masquerading as a hack for the handheld,
players need to manually download and install the file themselves in
order for the thing to latch its claws into the PSP. With a file
name of Trojan.PSPbrick, the malware lives up to its name by destroying
key Firmware files, making it so that the PSP ceases to function,
effectively turning the thing into a brick. Since hacks are also
against the terms of the PSP warranty, if this trojan attacks one's
handheld, Sony will not repair it.
