EIDOS APPOINTS SENIOR VP OF NORTH AMERICAN PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Eidos, one of the world's leading publishers and developers of entertainment software, announces the appointment of John Spinale as senior vice-president of North American product development. 

Spinale will oversee all product development in North America and will report directly to Mike McGarvey, ceo.  Prior to taking on this new role, he served as general manager of Eidos' U.S. development studio Crystal Dynamics, based in northern California. 

Mike McGarvey, ceo of Eidos says:
"John has been instrumental in the successful evolution of our product development infrastructure since he joined the organization.  We look forward to his contribution at a higher level with this appointment."

Before joining Eidos, Spinale served in a variety of product management related roles across a broad range of industries, from video games to enterprise software.  He holds a degree in engineering from Yale University.
