Word has come in from Atari that their tagging-oriented action game Getting Up has shipped to stores.  Featuring graffiti artist Marc Ecko, players will be tasked with freeing the city of New Radius from the powers that be, who seem to have a problem with freedom of expression through the use of graffiti art.  Oddly, even though Ecko's name is featured in the game's title, the main character is actually a chap named Trane.

"Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure

breaks the mold of the current crop of games by fusing authentic urban culture with truly diverse gameplay," said Marc Metis, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Atari, Inc. "With its unique story, talent, music, and gameplay design, Marc Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure answers consumers' call for innovation and originality in gaming."
