HP and Dell Ready to Join Blu-Ray Group

Hewlett Packard and Dell have made it known that they are interested in joining the technology group currently working jointly to create Blu-Ray technology, the high-capacity optical disc capable of storing approximately 20GB of data.  Current members of the Blu-Ray Group include Sony, NEC, Matsushita, Pioneer, and Toshiba, who are expected to admit HP and Dell later this year; HP and Dell hope to eventually use the Blu-Ray technology for future PCs that they release onto the marked.

Hopefully in time we'll see these high-capacity discs make their way into the gaming world.
