CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 28, 2004--Electronic Arts (Nasdaq:ERTS)
announced today the development of NFL STREET 2, scheduled for release
in early 2005 under the EA SPORTS BIG(TM) brand. The title is being
developed by EA-Tiburon for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment
system, the Nintendo GameCube(TM) and Xbox(R) video game system from
Microsoft. Since its release in January 2004, NFL STREET has sold more
than 1.5 million copies and was the second best-selling NFL videogame
for the 2003 football season behind Madden NFL 2004.
NFL
STREET 2 has been completely redesigned and reinvented challenging
players to change the way the game is played. In addition to several new
game modes, EA-Tiburon has added a whole new dimension to the game with
interactive wall moves and style catches. NFL STREET 2 will be online(a)
for Xbox Live(TM) as well as the PlayStation 2 console. The first video
for the game will be released on the Madden NFL 2005 game disc in the EA
SPORTS Extras section.
