More Sammy/SEGA Merger Details

At a recent press conference in Japan, Sammy President and CEO, Hajime Satomi, has given new details on the continued merging process between Sammy and SEGA.  Already a new joint holding company has emerged, SEGA Sammy Holdings, that will have complete control of both SEGA and Sammy with Mr. Satomi at the helm.

The holding company's responsibility will be towards administrative functions, while SEGA and Sammy work relatively independently on their games.  The question remains, though, as to how much the new holding company clamps down on SEGA's console game development upon a pending review of the company's R&D framework.
