Atlus has announced that they have another pair of off beat offerings in production this year for the North American market.  First off, they will be bringing Contact to the Nintendo DS.  This is a quirky RPG where players must help The Professor and Terry repair their crashed spaceship and get off the planet on which they are currently trapped.  Adding to the atmosphere is that the pair are well aware that you are playing a game, and will talk to you as such.

"Contact is the rare breed of quirky RPG that attracts a rabid fanbase with its
whacked-out story, setting, and characters," said Tomm Hulett, Project Lead for Atlus U.S.A., Inc. "I'm excited that gamers will be able to spread the fever to thousands of others with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection."

Secondly, Atlus will also be bringing a pair of giant robot games out in the forms of Super Robot Taisen Original Generation I & II, with

the first of the pair releasing in the summer, with the second out by fall.

"The Super Robot Taisen franchise has been entertaining Japanese gamers for more
than 15 years," said Yu Namba, Project Lead of Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation. "We're very happy to bring this incredible strategy RPG series to the United States for the first time."
