Late last year, Bioware announced their latest RPG, the sci-fi driven Mass Effect.  Now, as more details emerge about the game during GDC, word has it that the game will be episodic in nature, as new adventures, worlds, characters, and so forth are added through new chapters in the game.

The extent to which this will happen is still unknown, it appears that

Bioware wants to do these episodes in a manner that ensures steady releases in the Mass Effect universe, so gamers aren't waiting forever between installments.
