Ubisoft Snaps Up Far Cry and CryENGINE Rights

Ubisoft announced today that they have acquired the rights to both Far Cry and the CryENGINE. With that the publisher now has exclusive rights to do as they please with both the license and the technology behind it.
"Far Cry is one of Ubisoft's most successful brands and this agreement is one further step in our strategy to constantly enrich our catalogue of fully owned brands.
