Al Lowe is Back!
May 10, 2006
For the last several years, Al Lowe, creator of the Leisure Suit Larry series, has been on hiatus from the game industry. However, as of today, he has officially announced his return with a new studio (iBase Entertainment), and a new game, called Sam Suede: Undercover Exposure, which he'll be creating with Ken Wegrzyn, formerly of Mindscape and McGraw-Hill.

“I needed a good reason to abandon my strenuous life of pina coladas and golf, and this is it,” said Lowe, Chief Creative Officer of iBase Entertainment. “Ken and I are creating a game that’s big on humor, and provides the fun and exploration lacking in many of today’s games. I’ve always wanted to play a game about a common man thrust into extraordinary circumstances and surrounded by beautiful women. Sam Suede is that game.” |

“Al and I noticed how easy it is to find action comedy movies, but not action com-edy games,” said Wegrzyn, CEO of iBase Entertainment. “And thus was born the Action Comedy genre, with our first project Sam Suede: Undercover Exposure.”
The game is being billed as an "Action Comedy", but what, exactly the gameplay will entail is a tad vague at this time, but we do know it will be coming to PC, consoles, and handhelds. We'll keep you posted as more information comes along, but in the meantime you can read an old interview we did with Al Lowe, circa 2000. |
